Newsletter

The provider of this website uses the newsletter to inform users about specific offers.
If users of this website wish to receive the newsletter, an email address is required. The email address will only be used if the user has given their express consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. This email address is verified to ensure that the user is the owner or authorised user of the email address. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter; it is not passed on to third parties. No further data is collected.
When registering to receive the newsletter, the IP address and the date of registration are stored. This storage serves solely as a safeguard in the event that a third party has misused the address and subscribed to the newsletter without the knowledge of the owner or authorised user.
Consent to the storage and use of the data may be withdrawn at any time via a link in the newsletter itself, in the profile section, or by contacting us via the contact details provided above or by emailing pr@eurolam.net.

When using the email distribution list, the user’s email address is initially stored temporarily with ‘MailChimp’. This storage is solely for the purpose of confirming the registration as part of the ‘double opt-in’ procedure. Once the email address has been confirmed, it is stored permanently with MailChimp. The data is stored until the email address is deleted by the user (owner of the email address) or by the operator of this website. The date of registration and the user’s IP address are also stored. In the event of a personal visit to our head office, we will display your name on a digital welcome board. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in addressing you personally.

2. Social media plugins

Social networks
We use plugins from various social networks. A social network is a platform or app that enables users to communicate with one another, exchange opinions or share content such as images with other users or within the social network itself. Users generally have the option of creating private or business profiles, networking with one another, or providing private or company-related information.
The respective plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles. The purpose of processing is to display (targeted) advertising, conduct market research and/or tailor the website to your needs, and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. This analysis takes place even if you are not logged into the social network. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. To exercise this right to object, you must contact the respective plug-in provider. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The legitimate interest in the processing arises from the processing purposes mentioned above.

Use of YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on our website using YouTube’s embedding function. YouTube is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (‘Google’). Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which ensures compliance with the data protection standards applicable in the EU.

The videos are embedded in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, user information is only stored once playback of the video(s) begins. When the video starts, “YouTube” sets cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to “YouTube”, the cookies are used to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behaviour. In doing so, data, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google servers in the USA. Google stores your data and analyses it. This happens regardless of whether you are logged in or not. If you click on a video whilst logged in to Google, your data will be directly linked to your Google account. You can prevent this by logging out before clicking the button. The processing is carried out in particular in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR on the basis of Google’s legitimate interests in displaying personalised advertising, conducting market research and/or designing its website to meet user needs. You may object to the creation of these user profiles. You must address your objection to YouTube.
Every time this website is accessed, a connection is established with the Google network “DoubleClick”. This occurs regardless of whether the embedded videos are played. This may trigger further data processing operations over which we have no control.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s privacy policy at: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

3. Web analytics

We use web tracking and web analytics services. These are services that enable an analysis of the use of our website. We use this data to improve the website and to make our offering more interesting for you. The legal basis for the use of web analytics tools is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour on our website in order to optimise both our offering and our advertising.

Google Analytics (with anonymisation function)
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). The Google Analytics provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on the user’s computer and enable an analysis of the user’s use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding the use of this website (including the IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Your IP address is processed in an anonymised, truncated form using the _anonymizeIp() method if access to this website occurs from a Member State of the European Union or another signatory state to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. This ensures that personal identification is ruled out. Where the collected user data is personally identifiable, such identification is therefore immediately excluded. The personal data is deleted immediately.
Google will use the information to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for the website operators, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate the user’s IP address with any other data held by Google.
Users can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting their browser settings accordingly; please note that in this case, users may not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. By using this website, the user consents to the processing of data collected about them by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.

By downloading and installing the browser plug-in from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, users can prevent the collection and transmission of their usage-related data (including the IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google. Furthermore, users can prevent future collection by Google Analytics by clicking on ‘Disable Google Analytics’. The future collection of data when visiting this website is prevented by setting a so-called opt-out cookie. Further information on Google Analytics and Google’s applicable privacy policy can be found at www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and at www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html. Google Analytics is explained in more detail at this link: www.google.com/intl/de_de/analytics/.

This website uses Google Universal Analytics. This enables cross-device analysis of user behaviour. The analysis is carried out using a user ID. You can deactivate cross-device analysis of your usage in your customer account under ‘My data’, ‘Personal data’.
The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the evaluation and analysis of the use of our website.

4. Google reCAPTCHA

We use the reCAPTCHA function provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This function enables us to distinguish whether an entry on our website is made by a natural person or by a machine-generated, automated entry, for example by a bot. We use this to prevent spamming. When using the reCAPTCHA function, the IP address and any other data required by Google are transmitted to Google. The legal basis for this use is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in preventing spam. Further information on Google reCAPTCHA and the processing of your data by Google can be found at: www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Special notes regarding online presences on social networks / platforms
We maintain online presences on social networks and platforms (such as Facebook fan pages on the Facebook platform).
The online presence is technically provided by a service provider, the social network or the platform (hereinafter ‘platform’) itself. In doing so, the platform may itself process personal data, such as your IP address. If you are logged into the social network, the platform may establish a link between your user profile and your visit. The platform processes personal data in particular when you visit the social media presence or interact with it, e.g. by ‘liking’ a post. You can find details
of how the platform processes data in the platform’s respective privacy policy. As a rule, the data is processed for market research and advertising purposes. The platform may use this to create user profiles and thereby generate personalised adverts. You will
find a link to the relevant policy in the respective list of platforms. The processing of the data may not take place in Germany or the European Union but in a third country. This may make it more difficult to enforce your rights. The third country may not have the same level of data protection as Europe. An adequate level of protection can be achieved through various mechanisms, such as the Privacy Shield for US companies.
The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in informing our customers and contacting them. In the event of consent to data processing, the legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(a) and Article 7 of the GDPR.
Further and detailed information on processing by the respective platform and options to object (opt-out) can be found on the respective platform via the links provided.

Special notes regarding Facebook
When you visit our Facebook page, your IP address, amongst other things, is transmitted to and processed by Facebook. According to Facebook’s own statements, this IP address is anonymised (for ‘German’ IP addresses) and deleted after 90 days. Facebook also stores information about its users’ devices (e.g. as part of the ‘Login Notification’ feature); where applicable, this may enable Facebook to link IP addresses to individual users.
Facebook does not provide definitive information on how it uses data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are attributed to individual users, how long Facebook stores this data, or whether data from a visit to the Facebook page is passed on to third parties.
If you are currently logged into Facebook when visiting our Facebook page, a cookie containing your Facebook ID is stored on your device. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited the page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. You can prevent your profile
and interactions from being linked by logging out of Facebook or deactivating the ‘stay logged in’ function, deleting the cookies stored on your device, and closing and restarting your browser.
