Sustainable mobility: VoltaViewAfrica at Boot 2026

From 17 to 25 January 2026, VoltaViewAfrica was once again exhibiting at Boot in Düsseldorf one of the world’s largest water sports and technology trade fairs. Taking part gave us the opportunity to showcase our projects on sustainable waterborne mobility and decentralised energy supply, and to engage in discussions with experts and interested parties.

Our presence at the trade fair

Boot is one of the most important international trade fairs in the field of water, shipping and maritime technologies. In 2026, we once again presented our concepts for zero-emission propulsion systems and resilient energy solutions there. The focus was on practical approaches that demonstrate how sustainable mobility on water can be technically implemented and designed to be socially effective.

Positioning and objectives

As a non-profit organisation, VoltaViewAfrica used the platform to present concrete solutions to an international audience and to build new partnerships. For us, dialogue is key: we want not only to inform, but also to jointly develop perspectives on how renewable technologies can bring about sustainable change in mobility and access to energy.

What visitors could expect

What visitors could expect

At the German Ocean Foundation’s stand (Hall 11, Stand E04), visitors gained insights into our current projects. These include, among others:

  • emission-free electric mobility for fishing boats
  • decentralised energy supply for the use of e-mobility
  • integrated solutions to strengthen sustainable and resilient structures

These approaches demonstrate how renewable technologies can improve everyday realities whilst simultaneously reducing environmental impact.

Outlook

Encouraged by the positive feedback and valuable discussions at Boot 2026, we are entering the current year with renewed motivation. We will continue to build on the contacts we have made and consistently develop our projects further to advance sustainable mobility on the water and decentralised energy access.
